Xin Li is an emerging artist from Shanghai whose works explore the intersection of news and historical events through digital imagery and appropriation. Born and residing in Shanghai, Xin Li received a one-year certificate in 2012 from the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York. In 2018, he transitioned from commercial photography to artistic creation, marking a significant shift in his creative focus. Since 2019, Xin Li has been sharing his perspectives on contemporary photography on Bilibili, a popular Chinese platform, amassing over 3.3 million views and building a dedicated following within the contemporary art community. Xin Li's works focus on responding to news and historical events, creating expressive spaces primarily through digital imagery and appropriation. His works have been featured in prominent publications and exhibitions, including Foam Magazine, Three Shadows Photography Centre, and Musee Magazine. His contributions have garnered international recognition, earning him the title of Foam Talent in 2024.
